Well What Cochran did here was completely beyond the pale. He and his cronies betrayed everything the Republicans were supposed to stand for in order to cheat and encourage voter fraud to keep out an up and coming, intelligent, loyal conservative candidate who fought a fair and honest fight.
The only way to even begin to repair the damage is for the entire GOP senate caucus to ask Cochran to step aside. Absent that, then there is no saving the party.
At this point I despise the entire GOP and all that they stand for. They certainly don't reflect my values anymore. They have crossed the Stix and have entered into Hell.
Let them burn!
Do you hate Chris McDaniel?
Cruz and Paul had the opportunity to do just that. They know as much as we do about it and likely much more. Yet, they just closed ranks around their The Best 100 Club.
It is time to make the label "Republican" a scarlett letter and force those who wish to be branded such pay a heavy price. May they all burn in Hell.
Even if this is what they really are wanting for their communist masters continued empowerment, so be it. Only by extinguishing the GOP will this nation ever be able to rid itself of the democrats. Anyone calling himself/herself a "Republican" should know that by doing so, they will be crushed at election time. This will force those who are truly conservative to leave the party and help build a better opposition party sooner. Screw the GOP.
It's time for a small 'r' republican discussion -- getting back to the principles the Founders saw for this country.
Examples of 'republicanism' in the original US Constitution:
1. Selection of senators by state legislatures (lowest level representatives selecting a federal level office holder)
2. Electoral college: legislatively selected 'electors' gathering to select the best possible person to be president.
3. The House of Representatives: itself called the 'people's' assembly was to be selected in numbers that were a very small ratio of voters to representatives. Our ratio of voters to representatives is much higher today than in the time of the original constitution.
4. Juries can be seen as trust in the ability of citizens to make excellent decisions.
Amen again. They wanted all this rope, they know what they can do with it. This is not being said in the heat of the moment. I have coldly and rationally decided, “a pox on both their houses”.
