Prince Charles has a couple nuts rolling around in his head from some of the antics and things he’s said. One unimpressive man...royalty wise...in his case what one wears doesn’t fit the man under the clothes.

New Zealand is part of the "Commonwealth Realm" (as is Canada, and 14 other nations). That means that Prince Charles could one day be New Zealand's king -- and hence the king of all Maori. The Maori presented Prince Charles with that head dress -- it would have been unbelievably rude for him to not wear it.

Your Head of State (your elected, term-limited, Monarch) often dons native head gear, when he ventures from his Washington DC palace, to mingle with his subjects.
