Um. if I were better off, I would DEFINITELY know it.
When I see friends and relatives in Europe and South America faring better than I am, then I know something is wrong.

A liar has some regard for the truth, if only to conceal it.
A bullshitter simply spews whatever comes to mind that he thinks will somehow work to his (temporary) advantage, with no regard whatsoever for the truth. Most politicians are more bullshitter than liar, but Bam-Bam has a black-belt in it.
