Trey Gowdy, the U.S. representative tapped to lead an investigation of the Benghazi embassy attack, called for parishioners at Second Baptist Church on Sunday "not to be lazy" or to wait around for the Supreme Court, Congress or Senate to change the country.

"Changing the hearts and minds in this country is our job," he said.

The South Carolina Republican roomed with Pastor Ed Young's son at Baylor University as a teenager and accepted the family's invitation to speak at the mega-church's services celebrating the Fourth of July and veterans this weekend.

On Sunday, a day after Ahmed Abu Khattala was arraigned in federal court on charges related to the deaths of four Americans at the Libyan embassy in 2012, parishioners at the Woodway campus twirled miniature American flags and folded their fingers in prayerful grips. “So, were they shaking their heads in approval or disapproval?”..........

This was one of the best addresses I have ever heard from a politician. Thought provoking and a clear ditection to those in attendance on what must be done to change our culture for the benefit of all Americans.

It was outstanding, Presidential level statesmanship.
