If you like taking a shower every day, dont move to Las Vegas. The city is beginning to run out of water because Lake Mead is well below half-full and drying up, according to the UK Telegraph.
The area has faced a drought for the last 14 years, and despite the presence of Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the U.S. and the supplier of 90% of the citys water, the future looks bleak.

I wonder if Obama would okay a fresh water pipeline delivering water from the fresh water lakes of Northern Canada? Nah...it might disrupt the migration of the caribou and destroy some geese habitat.
36. Babe Ruth hit his first major league home run at Hanlans Point Stadium in Toronto. It landed in Lake Ontario and is believed to still be there.
I have heard of one plan to bring water all the way from Alaska, through Canada, down through Idaho and into the area between the Sierra and the Rockies. I don't think it would ever be approved for environmental reasons, even though it is just moving water around.
Harry Reid’s fault ........
And stop spouting water into the air from all those water works at the casinos.
This must be true. I can’t ever drinking water when I was in Vegas.
LOL!
Not because we can't fix it, but because we aren't allowed to.
“Build a couple of desalization plants as the Israelis have and pump the water via pipeline to Nevada.”
From Israel? I say, let the pump run dry.
They might need another one. lol
They still fill their 30,000 gallon swimming pools.
“Close some golf courses.”
Barry would object.
No in California.
Can't do that. It might scare the dolphins, or hurt the sea urchins or something.
There are several plans I have seen to do that. One plan was to bring water down for irrigation on the Great Plains. The plan you are speaking about, I believe, was to deliver water to cities in the west, but was also considered far more expensive. I agree it could be done, but the environmental wackos would stop it like they have Keystone. I lived in Cushing, OK for several years, which calls itself the pipeline crossroads of America, and you can’t even tell there are a dozen or so pipelines going there to the tank farms. These lines are six or more feet deep and the vegetation covers their trail pretty quickly.
Then you wonder why you're running out of water?
Frankly, if that blister on Satan's buttocks dried up and blew away entirely, I wouldn't miss it.
Yes of course so no water for Vegas.
Ha! But it’s truly a beautiful desert!
