The most powerful, immediate response to this crap would be for Mississippi conservatives to refuse to vote for either candidate in the general election. If the GOPe sees that this behavior is going to cost them elections and power they may think twice.

Exactly. I’m not in MS but if I were a voter there, Ol Thad would NEVER again get my vote even if it gave the election to another Barak Obama.
