“Question is, were the MS GOP bosses (Barbour, etc) so stupid that they didn’t see this coming?”

They think we’re stupid lemmings and either wouldn’t find out and question the election or just go along put thad back in and keep saying “thank you very much, much obliged.” And don’t forget roger wicker in this.

I’d add to that the probability that they were in a complete panic to prevent McDaniels from winning. The Dems dangled a little carrot in front of the (access to the Dems political GOTV apparatus) and they jumped at it.

I still think that Barbour and the rest are now p*ssing themselves over this. They were probably looking for a few thousand votes to swing a close election, not the 35,000 vote tidal wavy they got.

Party boys rather than conservatives are the 58% in this poll. They would vote for ted Kennedy if he had an (R) in front his name. Blind sheep...

If the run off election stands
and
If the conservative MS voter wishes to send a message to the GOP, then,

I would recommend that they write in McDaniel on their ballot. Yes, I know that will not actually count as a vote, but it will clearly identify the number of people who the GOP could have voted for their candidate had they not cheated in the runoff.

I am posting this on everything regarding the rinos and Cochran. I think what their campaign did to this man is worse than fraud. I hope people go to jail and are sued to the max for this. It breaks my heart to see how heartless people can be.

Mark Mayfield’s family plans to sue or bring charges against the city of Madison because of his suicide.

The family was angry because of Mayfields arrest over Cochran photo scandal and said the arrest was politically motivated by supporters of Cochran and drove him to suicide.

Mayfield was an attorney, state Republican and tea party leader. His family and friends are saying his arrest was politically motivated and his treatment by Madison authorities and his bond set at $250,000 is outrageous and that the don’t and set drug dealers’ bonds that high. Apparently his life crashed after that.

He couldn’t believe he was being accused of that and denied doing it. They made sure they got a picture of him in handcuffs to use in a political ad.

Mayfield was a transactional lawyer – loan closings, title work – for three banks in the Jackson area. On the day his picture was in the paper, all three banks called him and fired him. He lost his business And had to let his secretaries go. He was devastated.

It sounds like police who were involved in his investigation showed up instead of local police. The family was upset because it sounded like Cochrans friends (my words) on the police force showed up. The family accused Madison police of being heavy-handed during his arrest in May. The family is considering filing trespassing charges against the (Cochran) police who showed up.

Mayfields secretary said police showed up with guns, scaring her and
treating him like a criminal. Some news reports and social media said a swat team came. The police said no guns were drawn. I believe the secretary.

Please consider writing in instead of No Vote. See post #24 for the logic.

Fraud, race-baiting, and defaming the base.

Cochran needs to become a democrat - or join the mob or something. He's disgusting.

Cochran may eiter be a complete crook OR completely out of it OR both. There HAS to be a minimum standard to be a U.S. Senator.

IF Ted Kennedy voted as conservative as Jim Robinson, but was still in all other ways Ted Kennedy, would you want him to be a U.S. Senator? Or would you be ashamed that he officially shared so many of your positions?

a low figure for a Republican candidate.

He's NOT a 'Republican', he's part of the Group of Other Progressives!

(Apologies - I can't remember who I swiped that from)

Conservatives and the GOP have just lost this race. Enough conservatives will sit out the race or vote other than Cochran to throw the Senate seat to the Rats.

Most people do not realize that the Democrat nominee, Travis Childers, is a card carrying moderate, and is very electable.

Childers is a white Congressman who voted against ObamaCare.

He is also pro-Gun and pro-Life.

In 2010, he was endorsed by the NRA and by “Right To Life.”

“Please consider writing in instead of No Vote. See post #24 for the logic”

I intend to write in a name and I would like to see all use the same name because of the impact and it would show organization and strength. We should write in Chris McDaniel as it has been mentioned that a judge could rule and I understand with a precedent that the state law against counting them, especially with the circumstance we apparently have in Mississippi, that all write in would be counted and awarded. We have plenty of time to sort out what will be our best option.

Just the opposite. Conservatives are chomping at the bit to vindicate McDaniel.

I'm willing to concede that Thad may be a puppet in this disgusting scam. For all we know, he may be so far gone with Alzheimer's, he may not even know what day it is, and is just a warm place holder for the new progressive Republican party machine. His staff probably tell him what to say and how to vote, after getting the FAX from McConnell.

Didn't the DemocRATs have a Senator who had suffered a debilitating stroke, and was allowed to remain in his chair, casting votes directed by Harry Reid?

Great! Though not sure how they can do it.

My understanding is that with Cochran on the ballot McDaniel cannot be elected. All that conservatives could do would be deny their votes to Cochran, possibly leading to a DemocRat win.

Would be wonderful to learn of a way that McDaniel could be elected.

With nothing to lose, a McDaniel vote by vote challenge and write-in campaign is a great idea!
