You're right what we have today is a diluted form of fascism. The Government picks the "winners" e.g. Solyndra, hands out loans and tax advantages to its political allies e.g. General Motors and powerful lobbying interests e.g. Archer, Daniel, Midlands get government subsidies. Meanwhile the "Demos" is kept quiet thru Bread and circuses ( EBT cards and electronic media)
You are correct. Pre-war Nazi Germany was closer to the way our economy currently works than any other system.
