I think the sentencing guidelines in Michigan call for 25 to life with the possibility of parole for murder 2. The judge can exceed those guidelines but must present compelling reasons to do so. In all likelihood this goes in at manslaughter 1 which I believe is 15 to 25 with possibility of parole by the sentencing guidelines. We’ll see how it plays out. My personal guess is since public opinion is running so strongly against the perp he takes a plea on manslaughter 1. We’ll see.
