“I believe that each state should have the right to make firearms laws as they see fit. I don’t believe it’s right for the federal government to get into the middle of this and decide firearms laws for the people of the state of NJ,” Christie told “The Record” in July 2009.”

What part of that do you not understand?

You can’t claim to support the 2nd amendment and think states should have the right to violate it at will!

I don't think the 2nd Amendment should be violated. The Feds and the. States violate it. The SCOTUS just 2 months ago ruled that states can have “reasonable firearm restrictions” - whatever that means. I believe that was concerning the Colorado laws. The next day, the Democrats in NJ rammed through this latest bill, that Christie properly vetoed. I don't expect justice until Jesus Christ rules on this earth. Until then, I will applaud decisions that are CORRECT to that case, and Christie should be praised by Conservatives for THIS veto. And Yes, I think the rest of the gun laws are unconstitutional. But the behavior of some people on this board borders on being bipolar. Hey, if I want ideological perfect purity, my support for Republicans will be exactly zero.
