See, see you mean-old googly-eyed right-wing Tea-baggers! Why can’t you all be (Rush’s mocking voice) enlightened, spiritual moderates, reaching across the aisle and working in concert with our partners, the Democrats?

Are we suppose to celebrate moderates?

Sorry Mr. Greenburg, I’m tired of sacrificing my principles so your Corporate Cronies, and their puppets in Congress, the GOP-E, can gain power and riches.

The government of this country is supposed to be by the People, Of it’s People, and for it’s People, not by the Corporations, Of it’s Corporation, and for it’s Corporation.

It was also not meant to steal the money of one set of citizens to subsidize another set of citizens.

Go Pound Sand!

Thanks for posting this lovely article, Kaslin. The author got Howard Baker just right.

During the Bush-Gore Florida election fiasco, when I saw Howard Baker step in for George Bush, I knew everything would turn out exactly right and truth would prevail. He was just that kind of man.

Howard Baker Jr. Is who recently passed, and I’m glad he’s gone. He was from a county adjacent to my home county. I knew him on a personal level, and he was Lamar Alexander on steroids and Prozac.

Kaslin, you should wake the hell up. I enjoy 90% of your posts! but this ‘un here is a turd.

East Tennessee was a staunch Republican stronghold from the Civil War era and out of it came a political machine rooted in the two congressional districts around Knoxville and the Tri-Cities up near the Virginia border.

The TN GOP political machine produced a number of stars like Howard Baker, Lamar Alexander and Fred Thompson.
