The government of this country is supposed to be by the People, Of it’s People, and for it’s People, not by the Corporations, Of it’s Corporation, and for it’s Corporation.
It was also not meant to steal the money of one set of citizens to subsidize another set of citizens.

During the Bush-Gore Florida election fiasco, when I saw Howard Baker step in for George Bush, I knew everything would turn out exactly right and truth would prevail. He was just that kind of man.
Howard Baker Jr. Is who recently passed, and I’m glad he’s gone. He was from a county adjacent to my home county. I knew him on a personal level, and he was Lamar Alexander on steroids and Prozac.

East Tennessee was a staunch Republican stronghold from the Civil War era and out of it came a political machine rooted in the two congressional districts around Knoxville and the Tri-Cities up near the Virginia border.
The TN GOP political machine produced a number of stars like Howard Baker, Lamar Alexander and Fred Thompson.
