Juxtaposed against the simplistic and ugly “go back home” rhetoric spouted in the streets of Murrieta this week are the horrific realities of some of the human beings – women and children, no less – aboard those buses.

I have no problem with sanctuary households or sanctuary churches helping, adopting or assisting foreign children or young adults - as long as it’s voluntary.

Since there are only 3 billion dirt poor kids in the world, good luck fixing this problem with open borders.
It has nothing to do with the children who are being used as pawns, quite immorally.
It is standing up to the federal government and does not reflect animosity to children being used for political gain.

Up yours Lopez. I wish the people of Ventura had stood up like the people of Murrieta did. Jerry Brown would have picked up the phone then, and told the Party to get them the ‘H’ outta here like I’m certain he did when Murrieta people didn’t roll over.
Yes I’m surmising, but it’s a good bet he did quell the chaos in Murrieta by getting rid of the problem for the upcoming election. He likes to keep quiet (Heard from Jerry recently) until the last weeks before an election, and then jump on the soap box denouncing straw men, and all sorts of imaginary boogers without touching a single issue, and people fall for it every time.

I would be willing to bet that if you asked liberals and conservatives to personally take in and care for one or more of these children you would get FAR more conservatives than you would liberals who would do it.
The real haters are liberal/progressive. The most intolerant, bigoted, selfish people on the face of the earth.
The LA Times should go first. All employees drop by and pick up an illegal and take them home. They seem to want them more than the people of Murietta.
Congress should pass an advertising revenue tax to help pay for these immigrants. Then maybe they’ll change their tune.
Here’s an idea: Take all those busloads of illegal aliens and house them in the L.A. Times building.

When each members of both houses of Congress and every secretary of every department and czars take home five each of these children than I’m O.K. with it. They would have to house, feed and educate tell there 18 years old than good on them.
