Rob McKenna did not want Dino Rossi to win because McKenna had his eyes on the Governor’s office. Had Rossi won, it would have pushed his chances back for who knows how long.
Remember who the law firm that was hired to represent the Republican party? Davis Wright Tremaine, a liberal Democrat supporting firm. If you also recall, the complaint in the election complaint failed to allege vote fraud. How convenient.
McKenna also claimed he had no authority to investigate vote fraud, which was the biggest bunch of bullshit you could imagine. I even cited the WA constitution and statute that gave him that authority. The real reason McKenna refused to investigate vote fraud was because any future chance he may have had to eventually become governor would have been lost because the liberals would have turned out in force by blaming him for cheating Gregoire ut of the office.
McKenna is a sleazeball, and always has been.
And then there was the corrupt WASC that ignored all previous cases in order to give the election to Gregoire.
