UKRAINE Slovyansk: 1st person account of Ukraine Ministry of Defense assassination attempt

Killed by "Fly" or as a terrorist Slovyansk nearly blew the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

1st person account: "July 5 when our reconnaissance included Slavic, almost simultaneously with the soldiers came the Minister of Defence Staff ATO Valery Geletey together with a group of generals and officers. Witness to these events was a reporter "Tsenzor.Net."

Slovyansk was not stripped/cleaned. Banda Girkin flee in great haste - they threw/abandoned huge stockpiles of weapons and ammunition, and came to look at Geletey City Council building: what grenade launchers and MANPADS had made to it. The city had fired intermittently at night. In the anxiety to leave by night, the bandits forgot to inform/notify all their own and simply abandoned a dozens of accomplices to their fate.

Next to Geletey was a group of about 70 soldiers. Everything happened very quickly/instantly, "Grenade!" "Get down!" "Take him alive!" And then shots.

Thrower with an RPG-18 "mukha" ran out from the shelter to make a sighting shot. "Fly" was cocked, finger was on the trigger - it ahead for a split second.

Geletey and accompanying fell to the ground. Militant fired/hit by several soldiers. Who got him - is unknown. Who got - is unknown. Separatists militant piled up on, he did not have time to shoot, received 4-5 bullets. Geletey and our group was saved by the highest professionalism and reaction of fighters protection. They say [shot was from] the army special forces MoD. I hope these guys have saved many lives.

But the photo of the victim. Who is this? Some mercenary? His body smelled strongly of alcohol. Locals have not identified him, confidently say that he is not Slavic.

Why did he come here to kill people?"
