White House to Seek $3.8 billion for Border Control, More Than Previously Signaled
The White House on Tuesday will request $3.8 billion from Congress in emergency funding to deal with an influx of unaccompanied minors from Central America, a far higher amount that the Obama administration had previously signaled, according to a Capitol Hill source familiar with the plans.
The money would go to several federal agencies, including the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, State and Health and Human Services. Funds would be allocated to send more immigration judges to the southern border, build additional detention facilities and add border patrol agents, said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the administration had not formally made the request.

Does this $3.8 billion create a permanent solution or is it just a temporary fix? If the latter, then it is another waste of taxpayers' money.

The Dims keep noting the 2008 law “that Bush signed” that doesn’t allow immediate deportation to the Central American countries like we do for those illegals from Mexico and they have to have a hearing. How many of us actually believe that all of these that have been coming in are actually going to show up for a hearing (therefore, no lawyers or judges are needed except for maybe 5%).
I read something earlier that the bill that keeps being referenced was to protect those kids from sex trafficking.
However, the Dims are, of course, using it to their advantage now.
I’m not an attorney, but in my mind, instead of approving these funds, the House should pass a bill that repeals or amends the aforementioned 2008 bill and replace it with returning all of these illegals immediately except in very limited circumstances. Of course, we know that Dingy would never allow it on the Senate floor and Obummer would never sign it.
Not one more dime. The problem is Obama not the border patrol.
