Washington (CNN) - The Republican National Committee announced Tuesday that their Site Selection Committee has picked Cleveland to host the 2016 Republican National Convention.

The full membership of the RNC is expected to ratify the Site Selection Committee's recommendation at its early August meeting in Chicago.

Well Jeff, most large cities are heavily Liberal and overwhelmingly Democrat. That just happens to be the sad facts.

Dallas is also heavily Democrat and Dallas County went 60%-40% for Obama. As did every other city the Republicans looked at.

They also didn’t need .9% more votes in Texas to win the state. A .9% swing in Ohio and they would have taken Ohio.

Holding the convention in Ohio is not going to help them win Ohio with the GOPE in charge
