The White House on Monday denied Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl’s claim that President Barack Obama told him privately that he would not work to secure the border unless it was part of a comprehensive immigration reform package.
In a video that started circulating among conservative blogs over the weekend, the Arizona Republican is seen telling supporters in North Phoenix that in a private meeting in the Oval Office, Obama said “the problem” with border enforcement measures is that “if we secure the border then [Republicans] won’t have any reason to support comprehensive immigration reform.”
Kyl said the president’s supposed statement is proof that Democrats “don’t want to secure the border unless or until it is combined with comprehensive immigration reform.”
But in a statement to POLITICO, White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer denied Kyl’s account of the conversation, saying “the president didn’t say that and Senator Kyl knows it.”

As with all liars, watch what Obama does, not what he says.
Kyl’s story matches the facts of the matter and the denial doesn’t. The deniers are the same ones who declared that the border was secure up until they found that children are pouring across in droves.
“They want to get something in return for doing their duty,” the Arizona Republican said. “You don’t have to have comprehensive reform to secure the border, but you have to secure the border to get comprehensive reform.”
Obama lied when he put his hand on the Bible swearing to uphold the constitution. So why should I believe him?
Poor commentary on my part. I understood all that you posted, but was focused on the repititious lying of this administration, and posted to that.

This is almost funny. How can they deny what they’ve been DOING for the past six years? The border’s not only not secure, they haven’t added a foot to it; and they’ve made damn sure existing U. S. immigration law can’t take its rightful course. But they take offense at someone SAYING that Obama SAID that’s what he was doing! Unbelievable. Sticks’n’stones seem to be the weapons of choice for this administration.

Both men have earned their reputations. Kyl's is strong/solid, Obama's sucks.
I believe Kyl. obastard has lied often enough that I wouldn’t believe him about anything.
The reason I posted the article from 2010 is a challenge ... perhaps the problems on the southern border today are not an accident, but rather Obama carrying through with the threat he gave Sen. Kyl four years ago.
I think someone needs to ask that question.
