“..people shouldn’t forget..”

My daughter did a presentation on the Holocaust in 9th grade - no one in her class knew anything about it! In 10th grade they did get to that part in World History. However, I wonder how many of those kids will remember, and it will be just another forgotten history lesson - like me and knowing the name of the King of France in 1728?

Although my kids read several books on it, and I think they were required reading. Too bad that the schools don’t make more of a connection between the over-reach of Hitler and the over-reach of present-day governments.

It might be a good poster to have to see the reactions from co-workers, and see if they have any knowledge of it what-so-ever.

At my school every year they bring in at least one Survivor every year to speak to the various classes. It is a very sobering experience for many of them.

Sadly in 10 years or so we may not be able to find any of these living memorials to man's atrocities.
