Wow, they really know how to celebrate Dependence Day in Chicago. Since the start of the holiday weekend, 14 people have been killed and 82 shot according to the Chicago Tribune. In other circumstances a death toll like that would be considered a mass shooting.

Typical thuggish liberal lunacy to want to enact more anti firearm laws, even when it is obvious that firearms are not the root of the problem. Big city gangs and the spiraling gun violence is a symptom of the illegal drug culture. The firearm is only a tool used by that culture to deliver a message. Law enforcement emphasis should be on stopping the saturation of drugs into our cities and communities and our borders and ports. Unfortunately there is too much money being made in the drug trade for everyone involved, including those legitimate businesses that launder the drug money. One remedy: punishment should be a serious deterrent thus a swiftly executed death penalty should apply to all who are convicted of financing, money laundering, smuggling and or selling illicit drugs in the US.

Have you considered the shootings in Chicongo reflect the residents respect for, and knowledge of, each other.
Perhaps they know something about themselves we don’t?
It seems they are part of a dangerously violent tribe, not citizens of America who have internalized America’s beliefs and behaviors.
I watched this slow motion moral train wreck happen from the 60s on. All due to govt policies.
