Republican state Sen. Brandon Smith of Kentucky has a new theory on why climate change couldn’t possibly be slowly warming the earth’s temperature, resulting in legions of effects to the environment and its inhabitants.

The stupidity of people in politics is breathtaking. The joke is on me though, because those idiots are wealthy, or becoming wealthy, and will have retirements I could only match by hitting the lottery.
MSNBC will be saying that the Earth is heating up even if they are freezing inside a block of ice in July. In the battle between reality and whatever Al Gore drops out of his cloaca, MSNBC will praise the spraints and take a dump on actual Science.
Not correct - but planets other than Earth, including Mars, are also experiencing warming trends.

No, he is just quoting the EVIDENCE that the the Sun is responsible for most of the warming. SUV's and coal fired power plants on Earth have absolutely ZERO effect on the climate warming seen on Mars & Jupiter.
Regardless of whether you believe humans are causing climate change, natural forces are causing climate change, god is causing climate change, or the climate isn’t changing at all... You can’t deny that what this guy said publicly was nothing short of sad. Spewing out utter nonsense (the temperature of mars is pretty easy fact to check) in an attempt to belittle someone else. If your going to come to a fight, bring real weapons, not imaginary swords.

This is an illiterate polemic write up by MSNBC (the idiots) which probably doesn’t reflect what he said. As said above, there has been warming measured on Mars by NASA which anybody with common sense would realize points to Solar activity as part of whatever variation (warming or cooling) in global temperature we are measuring.

Smith is not a congressman, but rather a state senator.
