I think I see Beck’s point, and I agree. First off, the children are NOT being deported. I think they should be deported of course, but many (most?) have apparently applied for asylum under laws that permit such. Congress can attempt to repeal those laws, but until such time, it’s legal for these children to come here and apply for asylum. If someone knows differently please correct me.

If the children are legally allowed to come here by laws passed by Congress and signed by a president (not President Obama in this case), blame belongs to those politicians. They created this mess by establishing the legal framework that Obama can now exploit. It doesn’t matter if Congress at that time didn’t anticipate a chief executive who would exploit any leeway in the law to destroy America.

What to do with these children who are not going to be deported in the near term because they have a legal right to remain while their asylum requests are heard? This is where mercy comes in. I think we have a moral obligation to
take care of them, i.e. care for their medical needs, feed them, and shelter them.

It infuriates me when President Obama releases these children to relatives in the US, but again, that’s probably legal, too. I confess to not knowing specific procedures for asylum seekers, but I’m willing to bet it’s legal to release them pending their asylum hearings. If someone knows otherwise, please let me know.

Bottom line: We should blame the politicians—especially ones who push amnesty—for creating this mess. They created the conditions that made these children come here and allow them to stay (at least temporarily). Regardless, we have an obligation to humanely treat these children.

I hope they all end up deported BTW. America won’t be America for long if we allow pretty much anyone to come here, (legally) claim asylum, clog the system, and then (illegally) vanish into the population at large.

Give them bus fare and drop them off at the border. Don’t allow them in. Enforce the law, secure the borders or resign!!
