Ray Nagin received a sentence of 10 years in federal prison for public corruption Wednesday, but the former New Orleans mayor continues to deny that he is guilty of any wrongdoing.
Well, you know, all of this was pretty surreal to me, Nagin told the WDSU TV news station. I still maintain my innocence. Were going to appeal this thing.

Yup, it is called PUNISHMENT!
........and tried and convicted and sentenced..................
Yeah I know. It's like you woke up one morning and you were in a Twilight Zone episode.
Just remind him that when he gets out then he will be even more electable that he was before.
Nagin is a repulsive excuse for a man. I hope he dies in prison as payback for allowing hundreds of people to die in N.O.
Targeting, smearing, and tarnishing are normal events that happen to smelly pieces of sh....er...Obamastuff lying in the road.
Shove it, Nagin.
Playing the race card is so....so...Obamalike.
And even more repulsive.
Face it, you are are quite simply a low-grade crook.
now he’ll be targeted, smeared and cornholed.
And released on his own recog until the appeal process is done. IOW, he probably won’t see an orange suit anytime soon.
Not so. Silver tarnishes. But he ain’t silver, he’s chocolate by his own admission.
He should count his blessings — he could have also been tarred and feathered.
Right...you’re no longer milk chocolate. You’re dark chocolate!!
Now now. We all KNOW that GWB and people of white privilege blew up those levees on purpose.
There will be some other feelings Black Racist Ray Nagin will discover in prison
I bet he skips the country at some point..............Zimbabwe, Cuba or Venezuela is nice this time of year......................
This is what happened, as reported in NOLA online a day or so before Katrina hit: President Bush called Nagin to advise evacuation of the city. Nagin decided an announcement of extreme danger would be “bad for business,” and did not pass on Bush’s warning. He did not even mobilize city and school buses in advance of the hurricane, just in case they might be needed.
We all know the result. But somehow it all got to be Bush’s fault. I kept that NOLA Online article for years.
Nagin should have been jailed long ago.
Well, Nagin, the Universe could not suffer the GEORGE BUSH HATES BLACK PEOPLE lie you helped propagate throughout the WORLD, and this is Karma.
The federal prison system will be chocolate again. Or is it fudge?
