You Want President Obama Impeached, Sarah Palin? For What? (The black backlash begins)
The Root ^ | July 9, 2014 | David Swerdlick, associate editor

Posted on 07/10/2014 12:54:02 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

If she’s demanding impeachment, it would be nice if she could at least tell us what for.

If you’re familiar with the oeuvre of the late conservative Internet provocateur Andrew Breitbart, you’ll know that he’s remembered among his admirers for the cri de coeur that he offered right before his death: “Apologize for WHAT?”

It’s become as much a part of Tea Party lore as Rick Santelli’s CNBC rant or South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson’s “You lie!” So you’ll pardon me if I find it just a bit ironic that Breitbart.com is where Palin chose to pen her immediately infamous op-ed calling for President Barack Obama’s impeachment, because in it she rails on and on about the president’s “many impeachable offenses”—but if you read it closely, you quickly notice that she never specifies a single one.

Which has me asking one simple question: Impeachment, Gov. Palin ... for what?

As the Washington Post’s Jonathan Capehart points out, there are any number of reasons to rip Palin’s op-ed. For starters, she’s lost all credibility politically. At this point, she’s a gadfly who’ll be remembered for helping Obama turn a garden-variety win into a landslide in 2008—who quit in the middle of her first term as Alaska’s governor to star in a reality-TV series; who got bumped from Fox News’ starting lineup to become a seldom-used benchwarmer; and who, after spending six years in the national spotlight, has never been associated with a single serious policy proposal.

I wouldn’t want her on my side if I were trying to make a case for impeachment—and according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, 52 percent of Americans appear to agree.

Even if Palin aspires to make only the flakiest case for impeachment, the reality is that in her op-ed, she never even tries....

Hmm, it appears the taxpayer funded NPR “partners” with The Root (or should that be Tha Root or Th Root?) and runs his columns frequently.

All things considered?

Do they run conservative bloggers’ articles at NPR as frequently?

let them live with the fallout of Obama’s mulitple failures!

If I lived in Australia, I could understand the sentiment. But living here, you and are also going to live with that fallout, and pay for it too.

..but sadder for African-Americans!!!

I think it's sadder for the folks who saw it coming, tried to stop it and yet are the folks who are going to bear the burden of the cost of it.

Pretty easy to look up the 76 reasons to impeach Obama.
Ted Cruz even wrote them down, and they’re not even in cursive!

The House of Reps can impeach the president for anything that the house of Reps determines is an impeachable offense.

Go ahead and complain to the “authorities” about it. I get LOTS of compliments and thank you e-mails on my threads, but I can’t please everybody and won’t even attempt to.

Selective enforcement, failure the “faithfully execute the law”, yeah, pretty easy, if you see past the man’s skin color.

So you think you're the first to accuse me of being a troll? You're not even the first this month. I guess Jim and the others who run this place don't feel that way or I'd be long gone, huh? And I'm not here for "popularity" as I have a life. But there are countless people who've told me that they seek out my threads and others come here specifically to read them. Anyone ever told you that?

Doesn't speak of much creditability associated with the GOP controlled House. It has been way past time to impeach and the impeachment hearings would disclose King Obama, the communists BLACK Muslim Traitor. I am discussed with the Republicans in the House. No better than a liberal communists Democrat.

I think it’s important to keep abreast of what the “other side” is doing/thinking. In the real world we will meet people who rely on sources as this for their opinions. It’s thus helpful to know where such opinions are formed, to counter them.
