Michael Savage: SEAL Team Six was set up, murdered in Afghanistan
Russia Today/YouTube ^ | 7-8-14 | Michael Savage

RT America

Conservative talk radio host Michael Savage believes the public is being misled about the deaths of 17 members of the Navy's SEAL Team Six. The team, which gained worldwide fame for killing Osama bin Laden, was traveling with Afghan soldiers in a Chinook transport helicopter when the craft was downed by insurgents in August 2011. Family members of the soldiers filed a lawsuit to seek damages from the US, Afghan, and Iranian governments, while also pressing Congress to address what they perceive to be improprieties in the government's version of events. RT's Ameera David discusses the controversy with Savage to learn more.

I believe that part of the story is at the last minute, 6 afghan soldiers jumped out and 6 new ones got on the CH-47.

Also, the parents and families were told they couldn’t see their bodies because they were burned beyond recognition, etc.

However, one of the Parents obtained a photo of several of the Seals bodies perfectly in tact and not burned.

Can you explain that?

My brother came home in a metal box in 1968. The box was sealed and we will never know the truth. (YOU COULD NOT HANDLE THE TRUTH)

I’ve said all that I intend to say. You can take it or leave it. These discussions are loaded with people who seldom venture outside their parents basements but who are experts in all of this. I’m sure they’d be happy to feed the fantasies and conspiracy storylines.

The families want answers as well: why Biden outed Seal Team 6, why a Muslim Cleric was invited to speak at funerals of the Seals in which he spoke Arabic and dammed their souls to Allah. Why they were told their bodies were burned and cremated, when one of the parents obtained a photo of several bodies of seals perfectly intact and not burnt.

They were outed and betrayed....

I just want to be clear: You do know that they were supposed to be in the "better" helicopter in the original mission--then all of a sudden, they were told they'd be flying the "crappy" one. with no explanation.

And at the last minute, several afghans were added to the list of passengers, and that no one knew who they were. I believe the mission had also changed at that point.

And that one of the SEALs had the sense to contact his family before the mission, because he felt "something" was "off" about the situation.

There are even more parts to this story, but it's been months since I have last heard anything.

I take my truth wherever I find it. Reader’s Digest, National Enquirer, Seymour Hersh, Pat Buchanan, Ralph Nader, Michael Kelly (RIP), Drudge. Even Michael Savage can occasionally be correct.

Basically the families will not recover damages for the deaths of these heros. The Feres doctrine will apply.

Feres v. United States, 340 U.S. 135 (1950), combined three pending federal cases for a hearing in certiorari in which the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that the United States is not liable under the Federal Tort Claims Act for injuries to members of the armed forces sustained while on active duty and not on furlough and resulting from the negligence of others in the armed forces. The opinion is an extension of the English common-law concept of sovereign immunity.

The practical effect is that the Feres doctrine effectively bars service members from collecting damages from the United States Government for personal injuries experienced in the performance of their duties. It also bars families of service members from filing wrongful death or loss of consortium actions when a service member is killed or injured. The bar does not extend to killed or injured family members, so a spouse or child may still sue the United States for tort claims, nor does it bar service members from filing either in loco parentis on their child’s behalf or filing for wrongful death or loss of consortium as a companion claim to a spouse or child’s suit.

Can you imagine what the bill would have been for the hundreds of 36th Infantry Division dead at the Rapido River in 1944 Italy, the 500 plus dead at Slapton Sands in the Operation Tiger manuevers before D-Day, the thousands of casualties in Operation Market Garden, or any number of military fiascos over the course of the 20th and 21st centuries? The treasury would be bankrupt.

None of this means that those who may be responsible for any criminal complicity in their deaths should or would not be liable to criminal prosecution for their actions. Should that be shown to be so, they oughta get the death penalty by hanging.

OBL was already dirt along time ago. It was better to just leave him lie or the WOT and mission in the Mid-East would have been hard to keep going because Liberals would have said it was over. The Libs that came to power after Bush wanted to end Afghanistan, Iraq, and the War On Terror. They thought they could put people at ease and accept the end of the WOT by getting Bin Laden, or convincing everyone they did. They thought it would bring closure, but of course it did not since the movement is much much bigger than one man. But, Bin was gone well before Bush was out of office.

Reserve soldiers, actually, and yes, I agree with your assessment of the situation. A CH-47D at low altitude, low airspeed landing to a pinnacle makes for a juicy target. The Taliban could have hit it with a rock. An RPG hit was a piece of cake.

Brain cramp. You are correct, the crew were USAR soldiers. They fly over my farm frequently.

I’m not sure Osama was still alive to be taken out. One cannot go forever on kidney dialysis. He’d been on dialysis in 2001.

We knew SEALs when my husband was in the military. We worked with the military for over 25 years as civilians and there were SEALs on our base. SEALs don’t talk about the actions they take, how they take out a target, and the stuff that was reported to be stated by SEALS after the “take-down”. I still feel that the SEALS were set up in that, and to make sure no one spoke of any misgivings, they all had to be taken out. The more I hear, the more I distrust EVERYTHING this administration does. The more I fear this administration. Obama does not intend to leave office with anything that was formerly America in place.

I’m more that just a little suspicious that Obama is guilty of treason, not just high crimes or misdemeanors. But it appears he has left no one alive to talk about it.

Yeah, which begs the question as to who made the decision to fly all of these special operators on a single low altitude slow aircraft, and not split them up? As with many things in this administration it stinks...
