Judge: Gay Couples Can Keep Marrying in Colorado

Gay couples can keep getting married in Colorado, even though the state's gay marriage ban is still in effect, a judge ruled Thursday.

The decision added to the national confusion over same-sex marriage, as the judge said a county clerk can continue giving marriage licenses to gay couples despite what the state's attorney general calls "legal chaos" as the issue makes its way to the U.S. Supreme Court.

An hour after the ruling, Denver's clerk said she would join her counterpart in the liberal college town of Boulder in providing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Pueblo County's clerk said he will begin issuing same-sex marriage licenses Friday morning.

So something is illegal, the higher court has not ruled yet, one lawless clerk is issuing forged licensees, but the judge says "whatever, keep doing it". Now more clerks are joining in. Utter disregard for law and justice. Used to be judges tyrannized us while politicians looked the other day, these days we are tyrannized by petty bureaucrats while judges look the other way. This nation needs to be radically redirected from current course.

On this particular issue, officials are afraid of homosexual activists, or afraid of not being liberal, or afraid of some consequence if they don’t issue same sex marriage licenses. What the law is in any particular place doesn’t matter.

The gays and their friends can play house all they want, their unions will always be a mere figment of their imagination.

This judge included.

“Couples began trickling into Denver City Hall to tie the knot Thursday afternoon.”

LOL!!

You got to give the reporter credit for a good one liner in the middle of an article.

You're absolutely right. A married gay couple will still be a 'gay couple,' and the judges who facilitate them will still be black robed cockroaches.

I hope that someday soon a governor with cojones will put principles before personal gain and say not just no, but hell no. These black robed tyrants must be stopped.

I have no more use for the courts - or the “law,” which is just the shifting whim of the elites. I just want the country to break up so we can build something that works in its place.
