On top of this latest poke-in-the-eye to America’s finest, it will serve the dual purpose of demonizing Republicans through the use of the ‘budget cuts’ excuse. Which party is more closely associated with budget-cutting — despite the fact that it’s rarely done —, the gov’t shutdown and ‘the sequester’? Yup, the Republicans.

We need to revise the “pink slip” campaign to be sent by citizens to every member of congress from the voters on this issue. The slips would say, in no uncertain terms, support our military or consider this notice as a vote against you in your nex election.
