Sooo, what is the “Game Changer”?... after lightly perusing the article, I saw nothing that stood out as a “Game Changer”, am I missing something?
The only game changer I was able to see was Greenfield observing how the same political solution (light target destruction in Gaza) will result in the terrorists using more advanced weaponry in their next `intifada’.
Since Hamas is graduating from crude Qassam rockets to sophisticated Iranian guided missiles that can strike anywhere in Israel, that may be the game changer he is talking about though Greenfield might have more clearly highlighted this ominous trend.
Which may force Israel finally into Option 1 - destroy the terrorists completely. Not an easy one since in Gaza the terrorist culture includes mothers with infants eager to sacrifice their offspring to jihad. Just killing or neutralizing fighting age males, won’t get the job done.
The Arab League’s longterm policy of keeping Palis isolated in Gaza as an intergenerational threat to Israel has long since paid off handsomely for the Muslim world. It relies heavily on Israel’s inability to cast off its basic humanitarianism even when waging a permanent war for survival.
