“Testing positive for pot” can merely mean that someone smoked pot within the last couple of months. THC is fat soluble and stays in the system long after any psychoacte effect has worn off. It doesn’t necessarily mean they were under the influence or that pot caused the accident in any way.

over time pot/marijuana use does destroy the ability of the brain to function. The simple solution is to prohibit pot users from hold driver’s licenses in the same way those who are treated for epileptic seizures are prohibited.

That fact is lost on 90% of Freepers. Of course more people smoke since it’s legal, but it doesn’t mean they were high when they were driving.
