I.e.: given where we are with immigration right now, the pro-amnesty crowd cannot convincingly lay claim to the ‘conservative’ title. It is THE issue of the moment, and it is dispositive w re: to America’s future. Block amnesty, & we may yet make a comeback. Pass ‘comprehensive immigration reform,’ & we are done for.

Yep. There is absolutely nothing "conservative" about seeking to pardon and reward lawbreakers who've illegally immigrated into this country by granting them citizenship.
