They used to make fun of clueless libs in those days. In “The Thing From Another World” (1951) one of the main characters is a scientist who gums up the works by trying to reason with The Thing (actually James Arness in monster mode). The problems is The Thing, like violent Islam, cannot be reasoned with and simply wants to kill everything including the scientist who means him well. Fortunately, The Thing is given several million volts of electricity and the world is saved for the time being. Look to the skies!!!!!
