A plane flying at 33,000 feet rules out anything but a military weapon—not shoulder fired. And there is a daily flight from Amsterdam to KL using the exact same route. Why today and not some other day?
Good question. KLM flies the same route also everyday.
Other airlines fly over the Ukraine to Malaysia (from Europe).
I agree a manpad could not take down at 33K. I wonder what military might have been on the radar or it was on board?
