And the maddening part is that you don’t know for sure who shot it down, if that’s what happened, because all sides could have had easily done it.
If it was shot down at 33k feet, I think I could figure which side pulled that off. No rag tag rebels for sure.

The Ukraininans haven’t shot down any aircraft while losing several to the invaders’ actions and possibly Russian actions.
Someone out there is trigger happy. The worse is that they’re trying to create an international incident that will justify further Russian meddling.
