Putin is not stupid. He will not directly attack the US or US troops.
Had we stationed troops and assets in the Ukraine, Poland, etc, as we have in Germany, Korea, etc., nothing would have happened.
It has been said many times that nature abhors a vacuum.

It definitely fits his profile. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the U.S. government supplied the rebels this missile with faulty intelligence that there would be a Russian plane flying over at such and such time. A nice distraction for him from his border fiasco. I swear this damn game is getting old.The media is going out of their way to pin it on Russia, that in and of itself makes me question the whole thing.
