I said this early on and I stand by it ... it is a mistake to run against Obamacare. Oh I don’t mean toss it in the mix here and there, but even if focusing on some of these specifics, people REALLY like some of the provisions. Knew it was going to happen.

There is SO much we can run on and all we do is run “against” and do it poorly.

I say again, it is a mistake to run hard against Obamacare. The only place that resonates is very solid red areas anyway.

Read some of the articles I posted in my post 2 on this thread, then get back to me.

Obamacare is all about denying care, including palliative care to “useless eaters”.

You’re right.

Romney’s campaign killed itself with their slogan :
“Obamacare is wrong. We will end it.”

They should have said: “We will fix it.”
The fact is, Obamacare was a done deal and most voters
considered it property already won. They feared and resented any attempt to retract it.

Recognition of their desires would have opened a discussion of alternatives (free-market ones).

Almost all were ignorant of the gory details of the law.
The dems delayed implementation for this reason.
Romney’s campaign was as lame as McCain’s.

Yeah, just because the polls say there is a 2-to-1 majority against Obamacare doen't mean it's not popular or anything...

Re: “There is SO much we can run on and all we do is run “against,” and do it poorly.”

We do it poorly because most of the people we elect are not sincerely “against” the same things we want to stop.

These are the four most critical issues to me:

(1) Massive legal immigration (1.1 million every year).
(2) ObamaCare
(3) Out of control spending
(4) The national debt and unfunded liabilities.

All of them involve being “against” something.

Except for Ted Cruz, Senator Jeff Sessions, and Congressman Steve King, I can't think of any other well known elected Republican who is sincerely trying to stop any of those things.
