Yup, That the way it’s done in urban warfare. UW is the pure Hell of this mess usually lots of KIA and WIA’s and little gained.

Best attack point is an urban environment. Probably not enough room to touch off a more exotic system like a an AT variant. Modern RPG’s are very accurate in trained hands. many Abrams were damaged in Iraq (no main hull penetrations) by RPG’s. An APC with little top protection is very vulnerable from above attacks.

During the 2006 conflict in Lebanon, the Hezbollah fighters used the RGG-29 against Israeli armor. They were sent from Iran through Syria. The weapon has a tandem warhead and did put a few Merkavs out of the fight. I can only imagine what a weapon like that would to to a lightly armored APC.
