Here's an old story from several years ago about Perry sending the Rangers and the Guard to the border as part of Border Star.

This article also talks about Perry's border cameras which most have forgotten about. All the cameras were hooked up to the internet so you could stay at home and be a Minuteman. If you saw some illegals thru the camera you could call an 800 number or send an email and they'd run out and catch the illegals. It never worked out.
