As I'm reading through the thread, you're the first poster to say something that has relevance to breaking into that 47%.

I'll bring your statement one step further. That abused woman will leave the bad relationship if she has confidence that a new better one is available. There has to be clarity about why that new relationship is better. A new political relationship with the Republican Party? They talk the talk, then make so many compromises that they deliver on nothing.

"Meet the new boss, same as the old boss...won't get fooled again"

Voters are not going to leave the known bad deal with Obama for what might be a worse deal with the 'pubs, who stand for nothing.
