Exactlty how does this membership require firing? It is, after all, a Democratic organization?

I understand it was (or is now) a standing rule that Republicans CANNOT join the KKK.
I also heard part of the joining ceremony is they point a pistol or rile at your head as you are sworn in, or something.

These days, the KKK is a collection of old Democrats and young losers. Ever since the 70s, when the Democratic political establishment stopped supporting it, it has become a husk of its former self. Meaningless. It has zero power or ability to influence anything other than as a straw man for the Liberal Left and a means for the Southern Poverty Law Center to keep donations flowing in. So who cares who joins it?

A first cousin of mine claimed to have been a Klansman when we were in our 50s - 25 years ago, when I was back in Alabama for my father's funeral. Said the FBI forced him to quit by harassing and completely stressing out his wife.
Said both his father and father's father had been Klansmen and neither knew about the other until they joined. Was small, but had always been a tough guy, bragged about being rough on blacks when he had been deputy sheriff in west Georgia. The last I heard about him was from a niece of his who said he had had a stroke, was crippled, and had "mellowed".
