Why Tony Dungy’s comments about Michael Sam aren’t really a surprise

NBC isn’t Dungy’s employer, we works for NBC.

Tony is a football coach, not a social worker or shrink.
Good for him.

“NBC isn’t Dungy’s employer, we works for NBC.”

Huh? Well, I think I know what you mean.

In any case: my mistake; Dungy does work for NBC, not ESPN. But that makes Rush's on-air rant even more puzzling, as I thought Rush was claiming that ESPN was covering up for Dungy by not putting a story about Dungy’s (perfectly sensible and honest) remarks on its website.

Ooops, fingers and brain not on same page. I swear in my head the first NBC was ESPN.

ESPN probably isn’t talking about it because honestly it’s a non-story. A correspondent who does not work for them says he would not want the distraction of a particular 7th round draft pick who most folks don’t think will make it past first roster cut. Certainly LeBron has done something more interesting than this story, which is already days old.

Sorry, but we have a totally incompetent jackass living in our White House, and we’re afraid to confront him because we’ll be called racist.

If this homosexual turns out to be a lousy player, don’t tell me that he’ll go quietly. He’s probably already lawyered up and has lawsuits being written up if he’s dismissed.

His whole team will be deemed as “homophobics” and the fur will fly.

Well, I respectfully disagree. I just don’t see it happening. Frankly, I think he’ll make the team IF they can find a spot for him on Special Teams. I don’t think he’s good enough to start on Defense, but I haven’t watched too much film of him.

I don’t believe he’s gay. I believe he is a marginal player that saw an opportunity to become huge in the media and went for it. I also don’t believe Jason Collins is gay.
