Subsidies were one of the many goodies Obamacare provided insurers. Obamacare also required individuals to buy insurance, compelled many business owners to insure employees, expanded Medicaid (which is often administered by private insurers) and supplied a bailout to struggling insurers in the form of “risk corridors.”
The Halbig ruling is a triple threat to the insurers’ Obamacare favors. By stripping away tax credits, it reduces insurance companies transfers’ from the federal government. Halbig also reduces the impact of the law’s employer mandate and individual mandate.

It looks like this will be overturned because the full court that will consider this is packed with Obama stooges. Does anybody know if other federal courts besides the 4th have this case pending?

Some of my doctor clients are beginning to get letters from Blue Cross accompanied by payments but alerting us that “patient is in the second (or third and final) month of their grace period”. Looks like they have many patients in the Obama Exchange program in Texas that haven’t paid their premium. Keeping an eagle eye on their bank accounts and expect to see BC taking money out and putting it in their own bank account. The insurance carriers may have been playing footsie with the devil but it’s the docs who are going to be left holding the bag and getting burned.

I’m okay with doctors who accept ObamaCare losing huge amounts of money. I’m okay with crony capitalist insurance companies that hoped to get rich on taxpayer dollars losing because of ObamaCare. I’m okay with parasites who willingly chose ObamaCare losing when the subsidies disappear, and being hounded for back payments on their ObamaCare insurance. I have no sympathy for anyone on the other side in the ObamaCare battle. The Affordable Care Act crossed a line that never should have been crossed.

Yes. In Nevada the Comprehensive Cancer Center of Nevada, which is the largest oncology practice in Las Vegas, had to stop accepting Nevada’s Obamacare exchange patients last week because it wasn’t getting paid or when it was getting paid the payments were extremely late.
