Well, since anyone (felons & insane excepted) can carry anything in Vermont without a permit, anyone can carry in DC.

Read Saturday’s ruling guys. It doesn’t say “reciprocity”, it doesn’t say “declaration by CLEO”, it says NO restrictions on DC carry until a constitutional one is legislated.

But there ARE still limits on who can carry and they work in our favor. If someone is prohibited from possessing a firearm, they are clearly prohibited from carrying.

Secondly, there are very few legal guns in DC.

My belief is that most of the carrying is going to be done by people from surrounding states for a long time.

Lastly, I agree it does not really comply with the court order, but it is a great step forward. I am hoping the Mr. Gura will talk to the DC attorney and the Judge on Monday, and we will get compliance on the entire order.
