The “good” news is that it’s transmitted via bodily fluid contact and not airborne. Some novelist had a scenario about someone making an airborne version of the virus... That would be scary.
Which is why the medical staff, including US trained personnel, are catching the disease??????
That wasn’t a novelist, it was lizard expert Dr. Eric R. Pianka at the University of Texas at Austin who proposed that it would be a good thing if a pulmonary form of ebola wiped out 9 out of 10 people on Earth.
He said this during a speech at the Texas Academy of Science, while receiving the 2006 Distinguished Texas Scientist Award, and received a standing ovation from all but two people, one who reported him to the FBI for encouraging biological terrorism, and the other who later confirmed this account.
Since his advocacy of unparalleled human homicide, in front of people who might someday have the capacity to carry out his nightmare for real, Pianka has become deeply offended that his ideas are not popular except among the elite, and has said that “his life has been flip turned upside-down by ‘right-wing fools.’”
That is, people who are not thrilled with the idea of six billion people being slaughtered for the ha-has of an inhuman super-villain.
This from the same folks who said SARS and H1Nwhatever wouldn't jump species.
Was that “The Andromeda Strain”?........................
