I agree... yet apparently Georgia seems OK with it.. In some polling, Nunn leads in the race for Senate, and Jimmy Carter's grandson leads in the governor's race.

I completely understand that there’s a coalition of blacks, Hispanice and urban white liberals that, when combined, could give a Dem candidate a certain base to run statewide on.
But I’m just not sure where Nunn and Carter are getting their strength from. Is the state getting sick of GOP leadership or is it residual name ID from both of their dads?
Whatever the cause for both their popularity, I hope it goes away soon.
