Scientifically, nice (heterosexual) guys might actually finish last. A study published in Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin recently found that while men were attracted to nice-seeming women upon meeting them, women did not feel the same way about men. Researchers from the University of Rochester, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya in Israel investigated a possible mechanism explaining why women and men differ in their sexual reactions with receptive opposite-sex strangers.

One thing that really helped me (relationship-wise) was the old “Divorce Court” series (mid Eighties). Watched every episode I could. It was all supposedly based on true cases and taught me a lot about dysfunctional women & relationships. I also had a few experiences where I dated good looking women who weren’t emotionally stable—after a while, they seemed downright ugly. In contrast, average women who were stable actually looked better over time.
But, I definitely agree: Sanity is the most important attribute in a mate.
I am sure the numbers of women seeking divorce are just as stated. Don’t know where you live but I can assure you that not all divorces are the woman’s idea, though she thinks it is, not all divorces end up with the women getting everything as you state.
The study stated that women seek out the bad boys, ever wonder if that is a smart idea, in this day and age? The bad boys are not stupid enough to fall into a honey trap and lose everything they have worked 16 hours a day for, while the women work the credit cards. Maybe in a community property state it ends as you describe, but not all states are community property states, and it happens just the way I described when the greedy women take on the bad boys. I know from experience and knowing other bad boys. I am sorry, I had to pause and laugh. Sounds like you might have gotten outsmarted by a vengeful, greedy woman. You must be a nice guy.

Yes, I should clarify that a good conservative woman will still engage in housewifery and be willing to raise a family. Gold diggers won’t do either.
That being said, gold diggers seek out wimpy men who won’t deliver retribution once their true motives are discovered, and seem to avoid gun owners. In my youth, I deliberately scared off one potential gold digger once they found out my opinions on what should be done with thieves.

I am older also but my view of women is the opposite of yours. I admire seasoned women who have lived some and have respect for themselves and for men. The young ones are nice to look at but if I wanted a young woman strictly for her looks, I think renting is a better option than marriage. At least you know up front what she is going to cost.

To me there is nothing sadder than watching an older man showing off his latest toy, thinking he is making all the other men jealous, while real men who gave up toys at about 9 think he is pathetic.
LOL! That is funny but sad that it is so true. A whiskey glass and a woman’s ass have ruined many a good man. A wise ninety year old man told me that once. Think of what combining the two gets you.

I have a female co-worker who asks me about men all the time and tells me her dating antics. She was married to and has 3 kids by a drug addled, lazy half-wit whom she finally divorced. He proceeds to physically attack her every time she lets him see the kids. To which I say, you say he is on probation, call the cops and have him arrested on domestic and blow his probation, she doesn’t she is just trying to be nice she says for the kids, never mind they are witnessing this each time...
She recently stopped dating another guy of the year candidate looking at 4 months in jail for his 5th DUI and now she learns he might have been gay or bi-sexual. Both of these clods expected her to work and pay for everything.
Now according to her she has a handsome, hard working guy with a good paying job, who has liked her since high school, hasn’t been in jail ever, not on drugs and paid for everything on the only date they went on and treated her like a lady and he behaved as a gentleman. She is reluctant to date him it might mess up their friendship she says. Good Lord what do you want a hells angel who beats the crap out of you daily and expects you to work 4 jobs to date I finally asked her.
