Ted Cruz’s nerve to blame Democrats [columnist runs interference for Obama and Reid - fails]
Washington Post ^ | July 29, 2014 | Ruth Marcus

The Texas Republican gave an interview to NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell the other day, during which he was asked about political dysfunction in Washington. Without a trace of irony, embarrassment or self-awareness, Cruz placed the blame for political dysfunction solely on Democrats.

Agreed, the president’s dismissive balking at a border visit — he disdained a mere “photo op” — was dumb, if only because it offered ammunition to Cruz and company....

....Second is the current crisis on the southwestern border. There is a fair criticism that the administration waited too long to respond to the flood of unaccompanied minors. But the.....

Perceived weakness is a damaging as an outright defeat, in the shadowy world of dominance. Ted Cruz is simply moving into the vacuum left by those who vacate and flee from taking the hard stands necessary to retain even a modicum of self-respect.

It is not blame, and it is not self-justification, on the part of Ted Cruz to step up and proclaim a high moral stance. The less hardy souls that abandon the sentry posts at the ramparts would have been shot, had the incident occurred in a war zone.

But the notion that confrontation in a real physical sense is bad, only handicaps the person who rationalizes away the concept of respecting one’s self enough to take on the burden of defending, with one’s own life if necessary, the standards and principles they claim to champion.

Compromise for the sake poor result is the path to destruction.

When Conservatives compromise, their part of the bargain is never implemented.

The libs take the blank check and do as they please.

THAT is why it is good that Consevatives stand in the way.

Remind me: Who hasn’t demonstrated an interest in solving the immigration problem?

We have laws to fix the problem, so the INACTION by the RATs is the problem.
So, who isn't acting on their oath to protect our borders, and up hold laws?

Right..

Reid is an “obstructionist”

Odumbo is an “traitor”

Both need to be gone permanently!
