Unforeseen consequences:
The demographic position of blacks will decline, until they are a smaller and smaller portion of the minority community (and hence have less clout).
Latinos will in turn demand the places blacks have, in the affirmative action rota.
And, if these immigrants grow up with Catholic instruction, they may turn out to oppose abortion, same-sex marriage, etc.
Changes may be underway, but the results cannot be foreseen in totality at the moment.
