An American doctor in serious condition after he contracted Ebola was on a specially outfitted plane on the way to the U.S. for treatment Saturday morning, the organization Samaritan's Purse told NBC News. Dr. Kent Brantly — the first person infected with Ebola to be transported to the U.S. — will land at Dobbins Air Force Base in Marietta, Georgia, before he is transported to Emory Hospital in Atlanta.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Perhaps a chance to study and find a cure. I have to believe his blood will be useful to researchers, especially if he survives. Regarding fears of his entering the country, I believe that the long incubation period makes this disease a very effective covert biological weapon. Better to study now with our advanced equipment than before we have a full blown epidemic.

His transport was arranged by Franklin Graham...(Billy Graham’s son) who heads up Samaritan Purse......the evangelical mission to other countries.
Dr. Brantly was in Africa with Samaritans Purse......
along with Graham, the State Dept and CDC also signed off on this

Needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Keep him out!
Brantly will be the scapegoat when people begin getting ill due to lax immigration.
Graham’s organization will forever associated with any outbreak in the US.
