I agree with your skepticism. In the upper Midwest, it was a very cold spring, and July was also cooler than normal in Minnesota. Just where do they go to find the “hottest year” on record for the planet?

They utter phrases such as this and expect everyone to genuflect before their dogmas.

They rely on the fact that none of us were around 1000 years ago to accurately log global temperatures. Even 1000 years would still be a tiny snapshot and it would require 10,000 or more before any real trends would begin to appear. Even that would be a short term trend in the overall age of the planet.

We can ask what the optimum temperature of the planet is but the global warming alarmists simply can’t say with any honesty.

Looking back over the 4.5 billion years of the planet, its been mostly warmer than it is now.
