Internal investigators have already dismissed most complaints of civil rights violations against federal agents handling the surge of illegal immigrant children on the border, the Homeland Security Department inspector general said in a new report Thursday that details near-heroic efforts agents and officers are making.

In its first report since the surge, the inspector general said agents have contracted everything from scabies and lice to chickenpox, including bringing the disease home to their own children, as they care for the unaccompanied minors. Investigators also said they saw instances of agents and officers spending their own money to buy toys, clothing and food for children and families.

The investigators said some illegal immigrants’ “unfamiliarity with bathroom facilities resulted in unsanitary conditions and exposure to

Nothing new here, walk into most quick-trip gas station bath rooms and smell the “CRAP” that is in the waste paper baskets.

Just after graduating high school, my oldest daughter traveled extensively in Europe and the Mediterranean area along with a couple of friends. She got quite an education in bathroom habits. Nothing like looking next to you at the trashcan and seeing piles of feces staring back at you, or squatting over a hole in the floor with no privacy. In some places, it's mandatory to discard feces in the trashcan, otherwise you're breaking the law.

I suppose it would be racist to suggest that the keepers of the illegal immigrant “yutes” be given instructions on how to perform bathroom duties in their civilized society. Such as what toilet paper is; why and how toilet paper is used; how you dispose of it so you don't cause diseases. Small, simple things like that.

This is sop ..in Latin America another third world country the plumbing cannot handle anything other then fecal material.. so all sanitary paper products use toilet paper other things are thrown outside toilet usually on the floor if there’s no one is no wastebasket.

in three weeks when they’ll be in school with our children

Some schools begin THIS WEEK! So by Labor Day we may already have "issues" going on relative to diseases.

This is from the article at the WT (via FoxNation) link...

Investigators said in addition to looking at the old complaints, they made 87 unannounced visits to.....holding facilities where children are being kept, and the new facility in New Mexico specifically designed to detain illegal immigrant families.

FAMILIES!!! How wonderful! /s

The video at this link (same) is also very educational....drug lords dressed as .....Army Rangers....

Brought a boat into one of the Houston shipyards back in the late ninety’s and ran into this at the dock facilities. However, spent a year in and out of Bay of Campeche cities in ‘92, and was a totally different experience. My outlook is north and south Mexico are totally different.

Survived an 80 mph taxi ride to Villahermosa International thru small towns using horn vice brakes; but, had to help coax one ghost pale guy free of the seat. I wonder if the lounge area still has remnants of bullet holes in the wall?

Sendero Luminoso would come across the Guatemalan border on raids prior to my stint there, according to the locals. Two decades later and things are worse all over. Lots of fake Mexicans south of the border passing thru.

My famther dragged us from Michigan to Florida in 1963, during the time when Cubans were immigrating to South Florida. People then also complained about their unfamiliarity with bathroom fixtures as well, stating that they were doing their business on the floor and were unfamiliar with toilet paper.

Every Cuban I ever met, though, seemed to know what bathrooms were for, no prolblemo....
