The 6,500 includes illegals returned by Mexico. I'd bet less than 10% are US deportations.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

They are weeding out the tea party kids.

One of them had a Reagan t-shirt on. He was dead meat.

who emigrated in search of the American dream

The "American Dream" can be experienced in North America, Central America, or South America. It just doesn't have to be experienced in the USA.

We need to stop children from returning Honduran deportees. Who do these children think they are?

Reading between the lines and looking for something that resembles English...it sounds like 6500 kids did not make it through Mexico to reach our border.

They came here seeking the American Dream?

Funny, the politicians and US media have been saying that they are coming here to escape violence and corruption at home, not “pursuing the American Dream”.

Send them to see Chicago and they’ll discover that dream is a myth. Corruption, violence, and stifled economic liberty.

I think you’re probably correct.

One thing I’ve been wondering, I’ve not seen any pictures or reporting on those still invading our border like their were a few weeks or a month ago. I have read articles that the flow has lessened, primarily due to the hotter weather. But how much less? And, is it still not an issue and, therefore, IMHO a viable story? Where are all the children and adults going?

The numbers are down due to weather and the illegals are being dispersed to all 50 states either to “relatives” or to Catholic and ACORN type groups. What’s clear is deportations are a small fraction and the LA Times reported that 84% are between ages 13-17. Don’t be fooled by the pictures of toddlers.

I agree that deportations are a small fraction and I suspect it will remain that way. I’m not fooled by all the toddlers, I’ve seen many pictures of teen-age boys, at least some of which are reportedly members of gangs, but they are under 18 so are included with “the children”.
